The Folding Arm² Door Opener PA-KL²-T-30 is used for the automated opening of doors of any kind. It is particularly suitable for self-closing doors that are used as air intake openings for smoke and heat dissipation in an emergency. In this case the body remains firmly connected to the door frame in its movement. Only the arm moves, which pushes the door open via a rolling mechanism. Manual opening of the door is not restricted.
The folding arm² door opener - manual and automated opening of doors without restriction
The actuator PA-KL²-T-30 can be used flexibly regarding the installation situation and direction of rotation. It is installed either at the frame or in the reveal, left and right side are possible. It is suitable for use on inward and outward closing elements. It is mounted at the secondary closing edge. Depending on the type of installation, opening widths of up to 122° are possible and, together with the extremely short opening time of less than 60 seconds, this guarantees rapid smoke extraction and ventilation in the event of fire. The targeted opening of doors to open the supply air simultaneously signals the ideal escape and rescue route. This can be combined with signal indicators and lights via a fire alarm system.
The PA-KL²-T-30 actuator is tested and certified according to DIN EN 12101-2. Actuators of the type Folding Arm² have a special kinematics and their high performance gear (> 20.000 LW) in combination with the stainless steel lever arm is very resistant. The folding arm² door opener PA-KL²-T-30 has a force of maximum 300 N in direction "OPEN" and a nominal load of 50 N in "CLOSED". Especially the small installation dimensions make this automatic opener ideal for projects with high aesthetic demands - especially for large and heavy doors.
Easy handling through software interface
The connection is made via the SICO-PLUG connector plug. This contains the SICO BUS programming interface by which parameters such as opening stroke and force can be parameterized directly on site and further status messages can be read out.
In both end positions OPEN/CLOSED the actuator also offers a potential-free contact. Work sequence control and start-up delay are freely adjustable. Due to the freely adjustable start-up delay, the door opener folding arm is ideal for the automated opening of double leaf doors (secondary sash application). The PA-KL²-T-30 door opener actuator can also be used in combination with electric openers and electric closer / motor lock which are installed in the door.

24 V DC / 1.2 A / 300 N / 122° opening width / Single operation actuator
Folding Arm² PA-KL²-T Door opener as electromechanical actuator for opening doors for automated supply air for natural smoke extraction. Powerful actuator with 300 N push force via a lever arm with roller, which is not directly connected to the door leaf. Thus, there are no restrictions for manual door opening in normal operation and as an escape route. The supply air doors are to be designed self-closing with an upper door closer. Suitable for inward and outward opening doors, with bracket set (mounting bracket and mounting plate). With integrated, programmable SICO switch-off technology with microprocessor and SICO-PLUG connection plug. Work sequence control and start-up delay are freely adjustable. Connection for electric opener or motor lock available. Tested and certified for long-term performance according to DIN EN 12101-2.
